Records Clerk

Thunder Bay Police Service is accepting applications for the position of Records Clerk. This position is responsible for police records management, data entry and the transcription of written or audio reports into the police digital records management system (RMS). These are Temporary positions  replacing full time staff and normally work full  hours. This position may lead to full time employment.

Minimum Standards:

-Successful completion of Secondary School Education (Grade 12) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Keyboarding to a minimum of 50 wpm.
-Working knowledge of computers (specifically window based programs and Word).
-Excellent knowledge of English grammar, structure and spelling.
-Must be able to work shift work (8 &12 hour shifts) , weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check.
-Work in a team environment.
-Experience with Dictaphones is an asset.

Wages:

Hourly training rate is $23.74
Hourly rate is $26.14 to $31.20
