Officers were called to Blucher Ave at 11:15 p.m. on September 16, 2016 on a report of two individuals being assaulted by a group of people. Officers arrive a few minutes later to observe the assault in progress. The group took off running however three individuals were arrest by officers in the immediate area.

The 37 year old male victim stated that her heard a commotion outside his residence and went out to try to stop an altercation going on between six individuals in his front yard. These individuals turned their attention onto the homeowner and began assaulting him. His 33 year old wife came out to intervene when she was dragged to the ground by two females and assaulted. Moments before police arrived, the 13 year old son ran out to assist his parents and he was punched by one of the males in the group before they ran away.

Ambulance arrived on scene and tended to the injuries sustained by the family. They were not transported to the hospital.

Samuel King (18 years), Kailee Loon (18 years) and Bryton-Lee Patayash (21 years) have all been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and two counts of Assault. They have all been remanded into custody.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information
