Incident Date:
Friday, November 3, 2017 - 11:15
Location:
Thunder Bay
Date Published: 2017-11-03

Eighteen-year-old Brayden BUSHBY of Thunder Bay has been charged with Second Degree Murder - CC 235(1) in connection with the death of 34 year old Barbara KENTNER.

BUHSBY had been originally charged with Aggravated Assault on February 4, 2017 following an investigation by the TBPS into an alleged assault against Barbara KENTNER on January 28, 2017.

Following Barbara's death on July 4, 2017, the Crown Attorney reviewed circumstances surrounding her death with the Regional Coroner's Office and the TBPS Criminal Investigations Branch. That review resulted in the upgrade of the charge against Brayden BUSHBY.

BUSHBY surrendered himself to police on the morning of November 3, 2017 and was subsequently charged. He will appear in Superior Court this afternoon.

Note: The TBPS will not comment further on this matter as it is before the courts.
