On January 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting the sound of gunshots and a male outside with a gun. TBPS officers were quickly on the scene to secure the perimeter and contain a house located in the 100 block of Heron Street.

The Command post was set up and efforts began to communicate with individuals believed to be in the residence. At 9:07 p.m. a male and female exited the house, surrendered to police, arrested and transported to the Balmoral Police station.

The investigation has revealed that a male and female were consuming alcohol inside an apartment in the house when they had a disagreement. The 21 year old male took a gun outside. Officers entered the apartment after the arrest to confirm that it was vacant. Officers observed a number of long gun, ammunition and a compound bow in plain view. The residence is being held awaiting a search warrant to do a more thorough search for weapons.
