Police investigating weekend aggravated assault

TBPS Uniform Patrol officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Picton Avenue at approximately 2:00 a.m. on September 16, 2017 regarding an assault.

Police and EMS responded. A 28 year old man was discovered inside the home. He was taken to Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries.

A 34 year old man was arrested at the scene. It is alleged that the two males were involved in an altercation with each other.

34 year old Joshua Ryan WHITEHEAD of Webequie First Nation has been charged with Aggravated Assault. He has been held in custody for a future court date.

The victim is recovering from his injuries.
