A post mortem examination was conducted in Toronto on May 10, 2017, regarding 17 year old Tammy Keeash. Tammy was found deceased in the Neebing McIntyre floodway near Chapples Park the evening of Sunday May 7, 2017.

The TBPS was contacted by Tammy's guardian on Sunday May 7 at 1:28 p.m. to ask that police check the welfare of Tammy at a specific address. Tammy could not be located at that location. Tammy was then reported as missing by the guardian at 2:23 p.m. that day.

The results of the post mortem examination indicate that Tammy's death is consistent with drowning.

An extensive investigation by the Criminal Investigations Branch of the TBPS was able to determine that Tammy was last seen near the shore of the McIntyre Floodway at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday May 6, 2017. Investigators have spoken to individuals who were with Tammy at that time. All individuals were known to each other.

At this point, there is no evidence to indicate criminality in this tragic death.

Tammy Keeash's death remains a Coroner's investigation.
