Most students will eventually travel to Thunder Bay for education or other services. This ongoing initiative aims to give youth a chance to meet local police before they arrive.

While this has been an ongoing initiative for years, this day-trip to Marten Falls was the first since officers went on a Winter Road trip to four communities in February. Officers say that trip helped them better understand how they can make more meaningful connections with the students they meet.
