At approximately 5:30 pm on the 29th of March 2017 Drug and Gang Unit officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant in the 400 block of West Arthur Street. As a result approximately $20,000.00 in drugs were seized which included Hydromorphone pills, Cocaine and Crack Cocaine along with approximately $2,500.00 in cash.

Firearms and Drugs Seized - Update

As a result of ongoing investigations, the Thunder Bay Police Service conducted two high risk vehicle stops just after 10:00 p.m. on January 1, 2017.

The first vehicle containing two males and a female was stopped on Memorial Ave. A search of the vehicle and occupants revealed that both male occupants had loaded handguns in their possession as well as cash and drugs believed to be cocaine and oxycodone.

An investigation by Thunder Bay Police Criminal Investigations Branch in conjunction with the Intellegence Unit has lead to the arrest of three males and one female for weapons and drug related charges.

2 high risk vehicle stops and a search warrant at a North side residence has lead to the seisure of 4 loaded handguns and two loaded shotguns.A significant quantity of drugs and cash were also seized.

Arrest of Thunder Bay Male after a Hotel Room Searched and Close to $100,000 Seized

On November 8, 2016 the Thunder Bay Police Service received a call from a local hotel advising that a staff member located drugs and a large amount of money in hotel room.
