South Side Shooting - UPDATE

Detectives continue to investigate the shooting that occurred on Victoria Avenue last week.

Despite the best efforts of the investigators, they are being met with reluctance from individuals involved in this incident. Police are appealing to anyone with information about this incident to come forward and speak to Detective Whipple at 807-631-5898.

Public safety is a concern especially when a firearm is used in a violent incident.

Weapons Seized

On November 6, 2017 just before 7:00 p.m, Thunder Bay Police responded to a call by Confederation College Security regarding the possible storage of firearms in campus residence by a student.

TBPS officers attended the residence and subsequently charged a 25-year-old male with CC 86(1) Unsafe Storage of a Firearm. Two firearms were seized inside the male's residence.

The investigation continues.

Students should be aware that Confederation College prohibits firearms on campus.
