Windsor Street Homicide

Shortly after midnight on July 13, 2016 Thunder Bay Police and EMS responded to a disturbance at the Windsor Street Housing Complex. An altercation occurred with 2 males fighting an 18 year old male victim. The victim had serious trauma and was escorted to Thunder Bay Regional by paramedics where he was pronounced deceased.

33 Year old Pauline Kaye Cutfeet of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation has been charged with Second Degree Murder, Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation in the death of 38 year old Perry Robert Bois of Fort Hope. She is remanded in custody . Her next court date is 23 March 2016 by video.

Homicide Investigation

At approximately 1:25 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, Thunder Bay Police responded to a south-side hotel for a police assistance call , a male unconscious on the ground in second floor hallway.

A 38 year old male who was visiting Thunder Bay was transported to Thunder Bay Regional Hospital by ambulance with obvious trauma and was pronounced deceased at 2:08 a.m. The deceased name is being withheld until next of kin have been notified.

Homicide Update

37 year old Nicholas Joseph NECAN has been charged in connection with the murder of 60 year old George James GERARD.

Police were called to a disturbance at the Casablanca Apartments on Simpson Street yesterday afternoon.  Responding officers confronted NECAN and took him into custody after a struggle.  One of the officers was physically threatened by NECAN, but was not injured.  George James GERARD was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At approximately 3:57 p.m. on January 28, 2016 Thunder Bay Police were called to Casablanca Apartments at 1021 Simpson Street regarding a disturbance in progress. On arrival police located a 37 year old male in the process of assaulting a 60 year old male. The accused was combative and non-compliant with police.

Accused male was subsequently taken into custody and transported to 1200 Balmoral Street. The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he had succumbed to his injuries.

Investigation is continuing. 

Brant Street Homicides Update

The arrest on Friday January 15, 2016 of 40 year old Benjamin Ronald MARKI resulted from a complex investigation which began on December 27, 2015 with a multi-tier response to a structural fire at a Brant Street residence.  50 year old Anne CHUCHMUCH was deceased inside the residence.  60 year old Wilfred Charles POTT was transported to hospital where he died.

Homicide Investigation - UPDATE

36 year old Kimberly Fox of Thunder Bay appeared in court this morning on a charge of Second Degree Murder. The charge is a result of an investigation that began on January 13, 2016 into an altercation that occurred in a residence located at 960 John Street. The victim has been identified as 40 year old Charlotte Hudson of Thunder Bay.

Homicide Investigation

The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a Homicide in the 900 block of John Street. Police were called to the residence just after 10:00 a.m. on January 13, 2016. Thunder Police have a 36 year old female in custody.

The name of the 40 year old female victim is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.

The investigation continues.
