UPDATE: Victim of Cameron Street assault recovering

A 35 year old man is recovering from injuries sustained in an assault Monday.

Police were called to a residence in 200 block of Cameron Street yesterday just before 4:30 p.m. regarding an injured male.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made and this incident is under investigation by the TBPS Criminal Investigations Branch.

Weapons and drug arrests

On the 8th of July 2017 just after 12:00 pm Thunder Bay Police Service Officers attended at a South side Hotel for a disturbance.

As a result of the initial complaint the Intelligence Unit executed two Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrants.

More than $178,000 in illegal narcotics was seized including Crystal Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Xanax Pills, Psilocybin and Cannabis Resin.

A loaded shotgun, various imitation handguns and machine guns, and body armour were also located.

Male suffers life-threatening injuries after Cameron Street incident

Police are on the scene of the 200 block of Cameron St. regarding an incident that occurred earlier in the day on July 10th, 2017.

An adult male was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The matter remains under police investigation.

Missing Person - Michael Quirielle

Thunder Bay Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a 57 year old male Michael Quirielle of Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was last seen in the area of Regent Street on July 8th 2017 at approximately 6:00am.

Update to Kevin Roundhead homicide investigation

On Friday July 7th, 2017, two additional people were arrested in connection with the Homicide that occurred at McVicar Creek and Cumberland Street on July the 5th, 2017. 43 year old Emma MASSAKAYASH and 23 year old Jessie CHAPAIS have appeared in court on charges of Second Degree Murder, both have been remanded into custody.

The charges are in relation to the July 5, 2017 death of Kevin Roundhead. 

Cumberland Street & McVicar Creek Homicide - UPDATE #1

Skylar Masakayash, 22 years old of Thunder Bay has been remanded into custody after appearing in court this morning on Second-Degree Murder and Breach of Probation charges in relation to the death of Kevin Roundhead yesterday afternoon.

This investigation is ongoing.

Cumberland Street and McVicar Creek Homicide

The Thunder Bay Police Service responded to a 911 call just after 4:00 p.m. on July 5, 2017 to attend the area of Cumberland Street at McVicar Creek.

Officers arrived and located a male who was transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.

The Criminal Investigation Branch is actively investigating this incident as a homicide.

The deceased is 31 year old Kevin ROUNDHEAD of Thunder Bay.

A 23 year old male is in custody and has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Breach of Probation.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Attempted Arson

Thunder Bay Police were dispatched to a business located at 500 Arthur Street West to deal with a small fire outside the building on Tuesday, July 4 at about 3:30 a.m.

When the officers arrived they quickly extinguished the fire.

Further investigation resulted in the discovery of a beer bottle filled with gasoline that was lit on fire and thrown at the window of the business.

The outer glass to the window was broken but the bottle rebounded to the ground outside.

Update to incident at 248 Carl Avenue

The police investigation of the sudden deaths at 248 Carl Avenue has lead police to believe they are homicides.

Missing Person - Gail Tuplin

Thunder Bay Police are requesting the public's assistance in attempting to locate Missing Person Gail Tuplin.

Tuplin is 52 years of age and described as 5'7", 130 lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes and long, wavy black hair.
