Patrol officers attended the Econo Lodge located on Memorial Avenue early this morning to take a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

The female employee reported that a male entered the lobby of the business with his face covered and demanded money from the till while holding an unknown object in his hand. The male left on foot after taking the money.

The suspect is described as a male in his early 20's with a fair complexion. He is approximately 5'6" tall. He was wearing a black jacket and a white balaclava.

Officers attend the Mac's Convenience Store located on Waterloo Street to take a report of a robbery that had occurred just before 4:00 a.m. on April 9, 2018.

The 25 year old male employee reported that a female entered the store with a mask and demanded cigarettes and cash. The employee complied with her demands and the female left the area on foot heading southbound on Waterloo Street towards Kingsway Ave.

On March 21, 2018, Myles Wabano, a 22-year-old from Fort Hope was arrested in the 400 block of Waterloo Street by the Thunder Bay Police Community Response Team.

He has been charged with Robbery with Wounding, Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats to Kill in relation to the incident that occurred on March 14, 2018 at 1:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Tim Horton's located in the 300 block of Memorial Ave.

Myles Wabano appeared in court Thursday and has been remanded into custody.

On March 14, 201 8 at 1:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Tim Horton's located in the 300 block of Memorial Ave for a weapons call for service.

North-Side Robbery

Patrol officers were dispatched to the north core of the city at approximately 1:30 a.m.March 15, 2018 to speak to a victim of a robbery that had just occurred.

Mac's Robbery Arrest

Patrol officers were dispatched to the Mac's Convenience Store located in the 300 block of May Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. on February 25, 2018 in response to a report of a robbery with a baton that had just occurred.

While driving to the store, an officer located a male matching the description of the suspect. The male was detained while other officers attended the store to speak to the complainant and view the video footage of the incident.

The suspect was arrested at 10:30 a.m. for the robbery.

Robbery at Oliver Road Convenience Store

Just after midnight on January 25, 2018, officers attended the Mac's Convenience Store on Oliver Road to investigate a robbery that had just occurred.

The 20 year old male employee reported that two males entered the store with their face covered. One male produced a knife and demanded money out of the till while the second male took a number of cigarette packages.

Suspect #1 is described as being an Indigenous male approximately 5'8" tall.

He was wearing black pants with a white vertical stripe, a black hoodie with a very distinctive white Nike swoosh on the front.
