Police investigating Minnesota Park stabbing

The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a stabbing that occurred at Minnesota Park on Minnesota Street at approximately 8 p.m.

The victim is an 18-year-old male.

He was taken to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The accused male was located a short time after and was arrested.

The investigation is continuing.

Carl Avenue Stabbings

Thunder Bay Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred during the evening hours of December 28, 2016. The stabbing occurred at a residence on the 200 block of Carl Avenue.  Three people have been taken to hospital, all three with serious injuries.

Thunder Bay Police Criminal Investigations Branch, Uniform Patrol, and Forensic Identification Unit are actively investigating the incident.

Stabbing

On December 5, 2016, at approximately 9:50 a.m. the Thunder Bay Police attended a residence on Secord Street in regard to an open line 911 call, on which a disturbance could be heard. Upon arrival officers located a 60 year old male who had been assaulted and stabbed.

Fatal Stabbing

TBPS officer were dispatched the playground area of the Limbrick Housing Complex on report of an altercation that had occurred resulting a stabbing. When officers arrived they located two males that had been stabbed and assisted in having them transported to the hospital.

A 27 year old male was treated for non-life threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital. A 25 year old male succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin have been notified but the name is not being released at this time. The scene is being held by police, pending the results of the post mortem.

Stabbing Outside Dragon's Den Sports Bar at the Landmark Inn

On September 1, 2016 the Thunder Bay Police were dispatched to Dragons's Den Sports Bat located at the Landmark Inn to take a report of an assault that had just occurred just before 2:30 a.m. While officers were tending to this incident, they were made aware of an assault going on outside.

South-side Stabbing

Date Published: 2016-08-15

A 34 year old Thunder Bay man was rushed to hospital Friday night following an aggravated assault at a south side residence.

The victim is recovering from a stab wound received in an altercation at a home in the 200 block of Cameron Street.  Emergency responders were called to the scene just before 10:00 p.m. on Friday August 12, 2016.

The Criminal Investigations Branch of the TBPS continues to investigate.  Anyone with information on this incident should contact police or Crime Stoppers. www.tipsubmit.com

North Side Stabbing

Date Published: 2016-05-16

On May 14, 2016 at 2:53 a.m. Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to a stabbing at a north side residence.

An altercation occurred between a 31 year old male and a 31 year old female who are in a relationship. The 31 year old male was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional hospital with a stab wound to the abdomen area. The female left before police arrived.

The injuries appear to be serious but non life threatening.

The investigation is continuing
