The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a recent armed robbery.

Officers were dispatched to Barb’s Laundromat in the 200 block of Algoma Street South just before 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15 for a reported robbery that had just occurred.

Investigators learned a male brandishing a knife entered the business and demanded cash from an employee.

The suspect fled the business on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash and scratch lottery tickets.

He is described as standing about six-feet tall with a medium build. He wore a black puffy jacket with the hood up and grey trim underneath the armpit area, a black balaclava covering his face and sunglasses. He also wore beige-coloured gloves.
