Police have arrested a fourth suspect connected to a recent daytime parking lot shootout in Thunder Bay.
Continued investigation by members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s major Crimes Unit led to the identification of a Toronto teen as a suspect. TBPS investigators called upon the assistance of the Toronto Police Service to aide in locating the accused.
Members of the Toronto Police Service located and arrested the suspect in Toronto on Friday, May 26.
The 15-year-old male from Toronto faces charges of:
• Attempt Murder - Firearm
• Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
• Discharging Firearm- Reckless
• Use Firearm in Commission of Offence
• Pointing a Firearm
• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
• Tampering with Serial Number
• Fail to Comply with Release Order
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
• Possession of Cocaine
He is expected to appear in bail court in Thunder Bay via video from Toronto today.
The identity of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police have arrested a third suspect connected to a recent daytime parking lot shootout in Thunder Bay.
Members of the Toronto Police Service located and arrested a 16-year-old male suspect on Saturday, May 13.
The youth, who cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces charges of:
• Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
• Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm
• Discharge a Firearm in a Reckless Manner
• Failure to comply with Release Order
He has since appeared in a Thunder Bay courtroom – via video – and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date of Tuesday, May 30.

Police have arrested a second suspect involved in a recent daytime gunfire exchange on the city’s southside.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were originally dispatched to the 200-block area of Amelia Street West at about 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2 following reports of gunfire.
Police learned numerous parties were involved and had exchanged gunfire between one another before fleeing.
Members of the TBPS’s Intelligence Unit, Emergency Task Unit, Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit, Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) Unit were also dispatched in response to this shooting. Additional support was received from the OPP.
A responding officer observed a male suspect in the 200 block of Amelia Street West. The male matched the description and clothing descriptors provided by witnesses. Officers located a quantity of crack cocaine and a handgun in the male’s possession.
That suspect has since appeared in bail court on various firearms related charges and a attempted murder.
Following a search of the area, other suspects were not located by police.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit became involved with the continued investigation.
As a result of that continued investigation, police were able to identify one of the suspects who remained at-large.
With assistance from members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit, the suspect’s location was confirmed and a warrant was obtained. The arrest warrant was executed, with assistance from members of the Emergency Task Unit and Primary Response Branch containment members, at a residential address on the city’s south side.
Deserrae Dawn BARBER, 36, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm
She appeared in bail court on Friday, May 5 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
The investigation remains ongoing and police are seeking other involved suspects.
