Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an apartment in the 100 block of Court Street South just after 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27.
Responding officers learned a male had entered an apartment unit and sprayed bear repellant into the living room area.
As a result of an investigation, officers located a male matching the description of the suspect. The male was in possession of bear repellent, which he put down after being instructed to do so by officers.
The male was then arrested without incident.
An investigation revealed the male had no apparent connection to the people residing in the unit that was targeted.
Cory Paul RUPERT, 38, of Winnipeg, is charged with Administering a Noxious Substance.
He appeared in court Saturday and was released with a future appearance date.
