The Thunder Bay Police Service is at the scene and continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and pedestrian.
Police were dispatched to a parking lot in the 800 block of Red River Road just before 1:55 p.m. following reports of a collision that had just occurred. Paramedics with Superior North EMS and firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were also dispatched.
Police learned a female pedestrian was injured as a result of the collision. She was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.
The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time but believed to be serious.
The investigation remains ongoing.
