Police have laid an additional charge against the driver involved in a June 20 head-on collision on Dawson Road.
The collision involved an SUV driven by a lone male and a minivan with five occupants.
The driver of the SUV now faces a criminal charge of Impaired Operation-Blood Drug Concentration (Cocaine). This is in addition to charges of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, and Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

Motorist charged for impaired driving following serious motor vehicle collision Saturday
Police charged a motorist impaired-driving related offences following a serious weekend collision that left one person with possibly life-threatening injuries.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle collision on Dawson Road near Dog Lake Road at about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
When police arrived they learned a minivan, travelling with five occupants, and a white SUV, being driven by a lone male, had been involved in the collision. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.
As a result of their investigation, police learned the SUV was travelling eastbound when it began to cross the centre line of the roadway and collided head-on with the westbound minivan.
During an investigation into the collision an officer detected signs of impairment from the driver of the SUV. A roadside breath test was conducted, the results of which confirmed alcohol was a likely factor in the collision.
Blood samples were provided by the accused for further analysis.
All five occupants of the minivan reported sustaining injuries. The driver of the minivan is receiving treatment for possible life-threatening injuries in Winnipeg.
A 25-year-old Thunder Bay man faces three charges of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm and three charges of Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional charges may follow.
