Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol division were dispatched following reports of a male threatening another male with a knife in the 100 block of Heron Street just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25.

When police arrived they learned a male who resided in the area was driving into a laneway when he noticed a suspicious male loitering. The man told the suspicious male that if he did not live at the residence then he should leave the laneway.

Officers searched for, but could not locate, the suspicious male. However, as a result of the ongoing investigation officers were able to identify a suspect on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The accused was subsequently located and arrested without incident in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 2.

Biaggio Joseph DONOVAN, 32, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats, and Probation Order Non Compliance.
