Police are requesting public assistance amid an investigation into a recent break and enter.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were originally dispatched to the Our Lady of Charity School at 370 County Boulevard just before 3:45 a.m. on Friday, July 7 following reports that an alarm had been triggered.

When officers arrived, they located evidence of forced entry. It is believed suspects entered the school shortly after 3 a.m. that morning.

While clearing the building, officers discovered a fire in a room and worked to extinguish it. Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were also dispatched to the school.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit have become involved in the ongoing investigation.
