Thunder Bay Police is ussing the following Public Service Announcement to motorist in an effort to assist visitors to our city who may be unfamiliar with our volume of traffic.
As Thunder Bay residents have been made aware there are almost 1,000 evacuees from a Northern community staying in Thunder Bay because of an out of control forest fire.
The Thunder Bay Police Service, along with several other agencies, are working collaboratively with Community Leaders to ensure a happy and safe environment while they are removed from their homes.
Thunder Bay Police are asking drivers to use extra caution while driving near the hotels on West Arthur Street near Highway 61 while the police work with Community Leaders on educating evacuees about City traffic safety.
