One person has been taken into custody after police responded to a weapons incident in the Intercity area.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to a location in the 900 block of Fort William Road at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday March 1.
Responding officers encountered a man waving an apparent handgun.
The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Emergency Task Unit and K9 Unit also responded and were involved in apprehending the male suspect.
A visible police presence is expected to remain in the area. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
