Police are urging residents to be mindful after a group of individuals may have been stealing from mailboxes in a neighbourhood in the city’s south side.

The Thunder Bay Police Service received multiple reports on Monday, March 18 of a group of individuals approaching residences and stealing mail. The individuals appeared to be delivering flyers as cover for approaching homes and opening mailboxes.

Police arrested one person on Monday. The individual remains in custody.

Anyone with home or dash camera footage in the area of Simpson Street and McKenzie Street on Monday morning that may be relevant to the investigation is asked to contact police.
