The Thunder Bay Police Service responded to a reported theft at a business in the 1300 block of Rosslyn Road shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The complainant told officers he had arrived to the business that day to discover a 2015 enclosed tow-behind trailer was missing.

The complainant also told the officer that the contents inside the trailer, 15 scuba tanks containing compressed oxygen, could pose a public safety risk. The complainant said the tanks are useless to anyone other than divers, and if mishandled could be an explosive hazard.

The trailer is a 2015 v-nose Cargo Mate described as being grey in colour. It had a large sticker on the back end that says "Divers Alert Network." Each of the stolen oxygen tanks had "R.HAMLIN" written on them.
