Police arrested a Calgary man and a Thunder Bay man on drug trafficking charges following the search of two homes on the city’s north side Thursday. 
 
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Intelligence and Break and Enter and Armed Robbery (BEAR) Units executed a search warrant at two apartment units in the zero-to-100 block of Regent Street at about 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10. The warrants were obtained as a result of an ongoing Intelligence Unit investigation into drug trafficking activity at those addresses. 
 
Two suspects were arrested and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. 
 
Police seized a quantity of crack cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. 
 
Steven Charles BUTTON, 64, of Thunder Bay, is charged with: 
 
•    Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
•    Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Emmanuel Peter MANDO, 20, of Calgary, is charged with: 
 
•    Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
•    Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Both appeared in bail court in Thunder Bay on Friday, Aug. 11 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
