A Thunder Bay man has been charged in connection with an ongoing sudden death investigation. Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Investigative Services Branch were investigating a residential address in the 200-block area of Norah Street North in relation to a missing person case. This led to Major Crime Unit investigators locating a deceased female at about 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2. A scene was established, and members of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units became involved in the ongoing investigation. As a result of an ongoing investigation, a male was identified as having handled the human remains in a way that was consistent criminal Indignity to a Dead Body. The male suspect was located and arrested without incident on the city’s southside in the afternoon hours of Thursday, Aug. 3. He was transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. Jordan James Peter ARNOLD, 27, of Thunder Bay, is charged with: • Indignity to Dead Body • Failure to Comply with Probation Order He appeared in bail court on Friday, Aug. 4 and was released with a future appearance date. A post-mortem examination of the deceased female is being scheduled to take place in Toronto. A scene remains in the 200-block area of Norah Street North and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time.
