UPDATE: Sudden Death Investigation at Water Street

The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a local man discovered in apparent medical distress in the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 25.

First responders were dispatched to the Thunder Bay Transit terminal at 40 North Water Street shortly after 5:15 a.m. The male was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and pronounced dead.

Members of the TBPS’s Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate and assist the coroner’s office.

This is now a private matter between investigators and the male’s family.
