Police have arrested a third accused in connection with the ongoing homicide investigation of Paul VIVIER.

Officers were originally dispatched to the Midtown Inn at 61 Cumberland Street North around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 following reports of a disturbance and a seriously injured male.

When police arrived they located a 29-year-old male victim. Paramedics with the Superior North EMS transported him to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim was later identified as Paul Winnifred VIVIER, 29, of Victoria, BC.

As a result of their ongoing investigation members of the TBPS’s Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged Denis Terry Bernard, 36, of Thunder Bay, on Sunday, May 31. He appeared in bail court on Monday, June 1 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date of Tuesday June 9.

Further investigation identified a second suspect. On Wednesday, June 3 police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with Second-Degree Murder, Failure to Comply with a Judicial Release, and Failure to Comply with a Sentence.

On Thursday, June 4, as a result of the ongoing investigative efforts, members of the service’s Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit located and arrested a third identified suspect.

Seandi CLARKE-NOEL, of Whitby, Ont., is charged with Second-Degree Murder. Police have also charged CLARKE-NOEL with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking. The drug-related offences were the result of an investigation into a separate incident.

CLARKE-NOEL appeared in bail court on Friday, June 5 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

The homicide investigation continues.
