Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch arrested multiple suspects between 9 and 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 while investigating several reported break and enters.

Officers first responded to a reported suspicious male who was trying to gain entry to a home in the 500 block of North Court Street.

Multiple officers searched the area and eventually located a male running into the backyard of a home in the 400 block of North Court Street. The suspect matched the descriptions of the earlier reported suspicious male. Further investigation revealed the male was in possession of property stolen from a home in the 500 block of North Court Street.

He was arrested without incident.

Meanwhile, at 9:28 a.m. that same day, officers were near the corner of Court and Powley Streets looking for a female reportedly involved in a break and enter at a home in the 500 block of North Court Street.

Police located a female suspect just before 9:45 a.m. at the corner of McCulloch and Court Streets. She was arrested and found to be in possession of stolen items from two reported break and enters.

Meanwhile, other officers were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of McCulloch Street just before 10 a.m. to search for another suspect involved in a reported break and enter in the area.

A female was observed in a residential backyard in the area. The suspect fled before officers arrived, but police followed footprints in the snow that led them to a shed on the property. A female matching the description of the suspect was located inside the shed. She was arrested following a brief struggle.

Robert Peter BUNDY, 30, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

McKenzie OGIMA, 18, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Brittney Ann DOERFLINGER, 29, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

All three appeared in court Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. BUNDY and OGIMA were held in custody with future appearance dates. DOERFLINGER was released on an undertaking with a future appearance date.

Police continue to investigate a number of reported break and enters in these areas.
