Police arrest assault suspect

One person was arrested after police responded to a weapons call.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Lincoln Street shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10, after receiving reports of a weapons incident.
A male suspect had been seen with a firearm and had used the firearm to assault a victim.
The suspect was located by responding officers and was taken into custody.
Charles HARDY, 41, is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Breach of Probation x2.
The accused appeared in court and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

On December 26, 2025, officers with the Major Crime Unit made an arrest in connection to an incident that took place on December 25, 2025 on Hodder Avenue. Officers were sent to the business just after midnight in response to a report of an injured individual. The victim is currently in stable condition. As a result of the investigation, an individual has been charged with aggravated assault. The accused has been released from custody with a future court date.
