Police conducting homicide investigation

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response Unit were patrolling the area of 1010 Dawson Road at approximately 9:00 pm on July 24, 2026. Officer discovered a female with injuries consistent with a stabbing. Lifesaving measures were immediately performed, with the assistance of Thunder Superior North Emergency Medical Services and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue.

The victim, a resident of Thunder Bay, was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

The Major Crimes Unit became involved and are treating the investigation as a homicide.
