Police investigating serious collision

Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision that resulted in one person being taken to hospital with serious injuries.


Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response were dispatched to the area of May Street and George Street at 11:10 p.m. after receiving a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and a Thunder Bay Transit bus.


The adult female was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are considered life threatening.


Members of the Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit became involved in the investigation.


A section of May Street had been closed during overnight hours but has since reopened.


The investigation remains ongoing.
